You may have an in dash car DVD GPS player like this one with great functions. However, do you meet some problems when installing your car DVD? Like the rearview camera?
Rearview camera function is a frequent used by car owners. So, many car owners take it as important as the GPS navigation system and the discs play function. If you meet problems when installing this, I would like to help you out.
When you get your new camera, check it to see if it’s good. You may buy a camera online. And, after a long journey, it finally comes to you. When you open the package, you find that its shell is broken. Don’t worry at all. If the camera is good but the shell, you can glue it with tapes. This will not affect the normal use.
Now, you install the camera. For Audi Series, in most cases, the camera should be installed to the place of your original car’s license plate light. So, please take off the license plate light and move it aside. Then, install the new camera. The camera cable from merchant is about 6 meters (taking Seicane for example). It should be long enough. So, you just check if the cable is placed well.
But, there’s one thing should be pay attention to. The shape of your license plate light should match the shape of the new camera. So, buy a camera which fits to the license plate light place.
Next, check the camera function. If you are in radio interface when reversing your car, and it keeps in radio interface, there may be something wrong with the reverse detecting. That means the in dash car DVD GPS player can’t detect the reverse signal. All you need to do is to check if the cables are connected correctly.
Here’s the picture of cables, please connect this blue cable on camera to the BACK cable, which is at the unit, marked “BACK” or “BACK-VIDEO-IN”.
I hope you can deal with all the camera issues by yourself. If it’s a little difficult to you, you can ask a professional for help.
