Dodge Dakota Radio Removal and Installation Instruction

  1. Remove the trim panel. Remove the screws on the trim panel and pry around the trim panel gently until it is loosened. Take the trim panel off the dashboard by disconnecting the wires at the back of it.
  2. Remove the radio. Unscrew the screws at the four corners of the radio. Then, put them in a box. Take the radio out of the dash and disconnect the wiring harness at the back of it.
  3. Install the new radio. Connect the new radio to the original wiring harness. The detailed connections of wires should be according to the instruction of the new radio. There would be a little difference between different units.
  4. Test the new radio. Connect the negative cable on the battery and turn on the new radio. Test whether all the functions are compatible with your car. Please pay attention to the installation of GPS antenna, radio antenna and TV antenna if you meet problems in these functions. If everything’s good, install the trim panel back to the dashboard.
